This GCC Cutter is awesome!! Its fast and solid, and worked with WIN 7 with about 5 minutes of a download of the most current driver. It came with GREATCUT pro Software, which I had alot of trouble with (we ll get to that in a minute) but only because I use the X6 64bit Corel. What is this program?? It IS, not just like but, ACTUAL IS, COCUT PRO - a 300$ program!!
Basically design it in CorelDraw or AI and send it straight to the cutter without a second step. Getting back to my problem with the 64bit x6, well thats not supported, but with a litte work and a patch - voola! Now, how did I know where to start?
The company that sold this to me on Amazon, Imprintables Warehouse, called me at my office to see how I liked the unit. Not to sell me anything ( as he confirmed that he couldn't sell me anything because he was in service calls) and not because I called or emailed saying I was having a issue - just a SERVICE CALL to make sure it was working to my expectations. When i told 'TREVOR' about the same problem I was having, he gave me his cell phone number and told me to call him when it was convenient for me, and anytime after I needed something. I was up and making complex cuts in minutes. As for the machine - Built like it was expensive, handles great, and FULLY Adjustable.

I love it and will buy the same GCC in the larger model as my next one! Read my other reviews - I tell it like it is! I have worked with cutting plotters before, but never with this brand.
Despite the description, the drivers do not work with a Mac. The plotter requires a RS232 serial interface which none of the computers I own have (including two Macs and four PCs.) The quick start guide is vague and not up-to-date with the latest operating systems.
There is no hard copy of the manual, and I was only allowed to access the manual included on the install CD after I installed the drivers by using the RS232 adapter I was required to buy. Once I got the drivers installed, I registered the plotter online and got the voucher code to activate the included software (GreatCut.) However, when I attempted to use the code to activate GreatCut, the software will not accept the code sent to me directly by GCC. I have had this plotter for more than a week, and as of right now I have not been able to use it due to vague instructions, missing equipment, inaccessible user manuals, and shoddy software. If/when I ever get this chunk of junk working, I will update this review.

I purchased this product a few years ago from H and H signs. At first I was very frustrated with the setup. I didn't realize I needed additional software. I purchased Corel Draw X6 which which is by far the best drawing software so far. Anyways, if your printing text you have to go to arrange, convert the text to curve then go to the bottom right of the screen and change the line width to 0.001 mm. Once you convert your line width to 0.001 mm for your entire image your ready to print. They don't make this too clear on the instructions but machine performance is why I gave this 5 stars.
I have made thousands of shirts and signs and have had no problems. Also a special note: make sure you measure the space between rollers. If your image is outside the width of the rollers it will chop it off and you will likely get an error message. I am constantly measuring and very very rarely do I get error messages which is a result of my own error not the machine. Low price and a work horse. Before buying though research, research, research.
