I'm trying to install CitrixReceiver.exe silently via a PowerShell v5 script so the user doesn't get prompted for anything. Start-Process 'C: HelpDesk CitrixReceiver.exe' -ArgumentList '/silent' -wait The script this is in is always ran with administrator privileges. But, there is a windows security prompt that appears with the options of 'run' and 'cancel'. I am running windows 10 enterprise, so when I go to the.exe file and go to it's properties, there is no option to 'unblock' the file like stated in another similar question I found. I've also tried using the /quiet and /qb arguments but the prompt still appears. How can I get this security prompt to stop appearing?
Citrix Receiver supports the '/silent' switch however you need to specify other parameters as well. One example is: C: HelpDesk CitrixReceiver.exe ENABLEPRELAUNCH=TRUE ALLOWADDSTORE=S ENABLESSON=YES ALLOWSAVEPWD=A UseCategoryAsStartMenuPath=True /STORE0='PNAgent;PNAgent Site' /silent /includeSSON /noreboot All the installation switches and instructions are avaible at Citrix' site: However uses will still have to login the first time they launch the application, and if no store is specified they'll also have to input the store url.

The Citrix Receiver for Windows is currently an executable that will install the Citrix Receiver with all components, since Microsoft Intune is not supporting to install an executable via MDM we can deploy MSI files to Windows 10 devices. If you ever installed the Citrix Receiver, you know this can be a challenge ? Working towards a solution Citrix released a that describes an ‘recommended way of installing the Citrix Receiver client. What need to be done is to extract the executable and install the 10 MSI files in a certain order. Extract the MSI files To install the Citrix Receiver the right way you need to install all MSI files in the following order:. RIInstaller.msi. ICAWebWrapper.msi. GenericUSB.msi.
DesktopViewer.msi. CitrixHDXMediaStreamForFlash-ClientInstall.msi. Doing economics greenlaw.
Vd3dClient.msi. AuthManager.msi. SSONWrapper.msi. SelfServicePlugin.msi. WebHelper.msi With Microsoft Intune we currently do not have the option to create some kind of sequence of apps that need to be installed or something like application dependencies. If you add all ten MSI’s to Microsoft Intune and deploy them to the Windows 10 devices and they will be installed in a random order.
If an MSI fails due to that another one is required. After a long time with many reties of installing the MSI’s, the Citrix Receiver will be installed correctly with all components (MSI’s) in place. But like said it can take a long -random- time before the Citrix Receiver is available. So what if we could wrap the executable in some kind of MSI? So, I reached out to my CTGLobal colleague to verify if this would be possible. And yes, so it is! With it is pretty easy to do so, even for someone who created application packages with Zenworks 6.5 and so on, light years ago!;).
Creating the MSI So when using Advanced Installer you need to go to New, Convert and select MSI from EXE(s). Looking for how to build a Citrix Receiver 4.1 or 4.2 application for SCCM 2012. We are doing a very basic install, no SSO, no storefront, XenApp 6.5 servers, Win XP and Win7 workstations. All applications are delivered as a published application accessed through web interface, (no streaming). I'm not sure what the command line needs to be or the detection method. I can extract all the files from the EXE wrapper but there are so many MSI files and additional EXE files in there that it's pretty confusing. What I've found via Google so far doesn't appear as if it will be much help to me. Don't extract it, just run the supplied exe.
